Microfiction

Please complete a separate entry form for each individual submission. Complete ALL sections.

  • Make sure to read the specific category rules found in the Entry Guidelines and Judging sections of the Play Now Act Now website (playnowactnow.com.au).
  • Play Now Act Now’s signature item must be originally and inventively included: tell us your story about drugs and alcohol.
  • ENTRY IS FREE and OPEN TO RESIDENTS OF NSW AGED 16 TO 25 ONLY.
  • If you are unable to submit your entry online, please contact the festival director by email (info@pnan.com.au) or telephone (02-9356-1818),

Checklist:

  • Maximum length: Microfiction: 250 words max.
  • Signature item: Entries must deal in some way with the issues and culture surrounding drugs and alcohol and your entry must be themed according to the month of entry (see entry guidelines).
  • Wordle Cloud: Visit Wordle.net to create a ‘word cloud’ of your microfiction entry.  Once you’ve added the text, choose the option to ‘Save To Public Gallery’.  You should be taken to a new page that shows your word cloud – add the address of this page in the entry form below.
  • May theme: Unsocial Networking
  • June theme: Hero To Zero
  • July theme: Crime Story
  • August theme: Out Of It
  • September theme: This Life
