FREE NSW FILM WORKSHOP: EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

Metro Screen is sponsoring two free 3-day video-production workshops in Western Sydney and Regional NSW for young people aged 16 to 25 years old. This initiative is part of the 2010 Play Now Act Now youth arts festival.

The workshops are designed to produce a 2-minute short film about the ways drugs and alcohol play a part in young peoples lives. The films are not anti-drug advertisements but conversation starting points to get young people to speak openly and candidly, relaying stories from their own experience that relate the ways in which drugs and alcohol have had an impact on their lives.

The ultimate goal of these workshops is to reach young people who are at risk and/or would not normally have access to these opportunities and to allow them to share their stories with other young people.

THE METRO SCREEN MOBILE UNIT

The Metro Screen Mobile Unit provides the experience and expertise your community needs to put its local stories onto the screen. You provide the stories and we will provide the know how and equipment including project development, video production, post-production, new media and cinema projection. We are willing to go anywhere and teach anyone who is keen!

Please download and fill out this expression of interest form, and return it to us by Monday 21th June, should you wish to apply for the free film-workshop.

If you are 16-25 and live in NSW this is your opportunity to creatively engage with the issues and culture in which you experience alcohol and drugs.
